Fire crews quickly extinguished a blaze that threatened a Bunnings store in south of Perth.

Crews were called to the fire at the Baldivis Bunnings at 12.30pm on Monday afternoon.

The fire was burning out of control at the rear of the building.

Footage of the fire, which was shared on social media, showed flames burning close to the walls of the hardware store.

Fire crews quickly launched into action and had the fire out within half an hour.

A DFES spokeswoman said the fire started in a pile of rubbish and pallets but could not give a cause.
