City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler will join The West Live this morning to discuss a proposed resource sector corridor, skills shortages and why now is the best time for fly in, fly out workers to consider living locally.

As revealed in The West Australian today, two new resource potential corridors stretching the length of the nation have been identified by scientific experts at Geoscience Australia as having high potential for new energy, minerals and groundwater resource discoveries.

The west corridor stretches from just south of Darwin and straddling the borders of the Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia finishing at the edge of the Great Australian Bight.

The east corridor starts at the edge of the Gulf of Carpentaria and runs through Mount Isa in Queensland and down the borders of New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.

Later on the show, Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt will join Clarke to discuss plans to transform the Maritime Museum's neighbouring Victoria Quay’s A Shed into a brewery, restaurant and bar showcasing Gage Roads Brewing.

Mayor Pettitt is also expected to discuss Premier Mark McGowan releasing the Westport final report yesterday.

He has previously stated that the Council’s wants the Fremantle’s inner harbour retained rather than a land-backed port to be built within the Kwinana Industrial Area.

The nearly century-old shed is currently used as a storage facility but the planned revitalisation of the port precinct is aimed at strengthening Fremantle’s credentials as a drawcard for locals and tourists.

Also joining Clarke, 7News Perth Sports Presenter Adrian "Barra" Barich will be on the podcast to wrap up the latest football news and discuss toxic change room culture.

Sunrise Perth correspondent Matt Tinney will also join Clarke to update West Australian’s on the latest news headlines.

After 9am, Inside Cover Editor Ben O’Shea will be back on the podcast to share some quirky stories from across the State in his Wild West segment.
