AFL CEO Andrew Dillon has poked fun at Geelong Cats star Bailey Smith after the midfielder was caught dating multiple women on the same day.

Dillon was making a speech at an AFL function — which included VIP guests as well as Smith’s parents, Nick and Sinead — at the Cats’ elimination final against Carlton on Friday night, when he brought up the player’s well-documented romantic life, according to The Herald Sun.

The CEO began by referring to Smith as “one of my favourites” among the Geelong team, congratulating him for making the prestigious All-Australian team.

“Finished this season first in the competition for kicks, first in the competition for inside 50s, first in the competition for metres gained and first in the competition for Tinder dates in a week. And that is something that’s never been done before,” Dillon said.

“And a warm welcome to Bailey’s parents, Nick and Sinead, who are here tonight.”

Smith — who is known to be a heartthrob in the AFL world — gained the internet’s attention in July when two women accused him of dating them both on the same day.

The Sydney women, known as Tahlia and Mia, found each other after they both took photos with Smith in front of a mirror —tellingly, Smith is wearing the same outfit in both pictures.

Tahlia also shared a photo of herself and Smith in a car, with the caption “love bombing should be studied”, and “POV when he’s planning his future with you and 400 other girls” on the mirror selfie.

Smith cheekily responded with his own Instagram story, asking for “date night recs pls” alongside a photoshopped image of himself standing in the same mirror, but with St Kilda player Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera.

One response hilariously referenced Wanganeen-Milera’s brilliant game against North Melbourne, saying: “I think we should be talking about nas’s 46 (disposals) & 4 (goals).”

“Places with no mirrors,” another person said, to which Smith replied: “fair shout”.
