Adopted West Aussie royalty Kate Walsh was met by adoring fans at Rambla on Swan on Friday night.

The Best Friends & Boyfriend Soiree was the Hollywood star’s first public appearance since returning to Perth, and her first since emerging from 14 days mandatory quarantine on Monday.

An intimate party of 20 guests, who won tickets to the sunset meet and greet hosted by Nova 937’s Nathan Morris, Natalie Locke and Shaun McManus for Walsh’s Boyfriend perfume line, clamoured for photos with the actor, who arrived fashionably late.

Walsh got “stuck” in Perth at the onset of the pandemic and has called Swanbourne home ever since.

“I feel very much at home here,” Walsh said. “I feel very lucky. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly.”

She returned to the US earlier this year for work on various projects including reprising of her role as neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery on season 18 Grey’s Anatomy in an “emotional” reunion.

“It was very emotional. A lot of tears,” she said.

Walsh, who will be calling Perth home for the foreseeable future, will next take to the stage in the production of Mary Stewart.

The smart and witty adaption of Friedrich Schiller’s play by Australian actress, playwright and screenwriter Kate Mulvany will feature at Perth Festival next year.

“I‘m going to play the role of Elizabeth the Queen. So super stoked for that,” Walsh said.
