The Shepherd’s Hut follows fifteen‑year‑old Jaxie Clackton who flees into WA’s saltlands, raging and searching for something he can’t yet name.

There he meets Fintan MacGillis, a disgraced Irish priest living in lonely exile, and together the two outcasts form a fragile bond that forces each to confront buried secrets and the weight of their past.

Premiering in Perth, this powerful new stage adaptation of Tim Winton’s The Shepherd’s Hut becomes a raw, poetic exploration of masculinity, isolation, forgiveness, and the brutal, necessary violence of hope.
