Christmas on the Green

Saturday December 13, 4pm to 9pm, Atwell Reserve, Atwell

Enjoy live music, roving performers, kids’ activities and Christmas characters (including a bloke in a red suit) at this sunset symphony concert. Food trucks are on site. Performers include the Australian Girls Choir, Cameo Rascale Circus Spectacular and the Joondalup Symphony Orchestra.

Wizard Of Oz — A Traditional Christmas Pantomime

Ongoing to December 24, 2pm and 6pm (11.30am and 4.30pm on the 24th), Regal Theatre, Subiaco

Dorothy, Toto and the crew journey down the Yellow Brick Road in this classic story. Expect witches (good and bad), a scarecrow, tin man and lion, and plenty of toe-tapping songs.

Everclear Sparkle And Fade 30th Anniversary Tour

Wednesday December 10, 8pm, Freo.Social, Fremantle

If you are in the mood for some angsty mid-90s grunge, then you are in luck. The US rock band are in town to play hits from their 1995 album which includes songs like Santa Monica, Heartspark Dollarsign, and Heroin Girl.

A Very Freo Christmas

Saturday December 13 to 20, Fremantle

Get into the spirit of Christmas at three festive events taking place in Fremantle. Today, Santa will be making an appearance at Bathers Beach from noon to 4pm along with kite flying displays, kite building workshops, interactive sand sculptures, a mermaid meet and greet, mini train rides and face painting. On December 19 from 5pm there is Carols From The Koort at Walyalup Koort (near the town hall) and on December 20, also at Walyalup Koort, there is a free screening of The Polar Express. The film starts at 7pm, but arrive from 5pm for popcorn, face painting and Santa visits.

Titanic: The Human Story

Step inside the world of the Titanic in this interactive, family-friendly experience filled with more than 300 relics from the ship, true stories from the people aboard, and full-scale recreations of the ship’s cabins. An audio guide takes you through the exhibition, with many facts about the famed ship and its doomed journey.
