It’s a bad week to be a beer in Perth’s north east as Brabham Hotel prepares to welcome locals in the emerging residential pocket to its grand opening.
Officially opening doors on Tuesday July 28, the Palfrey Street venue has been designed to cater for its growing community within the City of Swan.
It features a spacious modern bistro, dedicated sports bar, sizeable beer garden, private function space, and enough activities to keep both parents and kids entertained.
Venue manager Dave Snelgar said everybody in the surrounding neighbourhoods should feel welcome.
“We are so excited to finally welcome the Brabham community through our doors,” he said.
“We wanted to create a genuine local where families, friends and sports fans could come together, whether it is for a relaxed meal, a few drinks, live music or a big game.”

Within the sprawling beer garden, families can let their kids roam free in the large-scale outdoor playground as they sit back with a meal and beverage to the tune of live music and sport.
However, the true sports centre will be at the dedicated Sports Bar, featuring big screens, TAB facilities, and a selection of drinks on tap.

Pub classics with a modern twist can be ordered from the bistro menu, including chicken parmi, fish and chips, steaks, and burgers, while more adventurous diners might prefer the oven-roasted barramundi with coconut curry sauce, or Shepherd’s Pie served with greens and gravy.
Like any good local, a bevvy of cocktails, spritzes, and non-alcoholic options add to the venue’s selection of wines, spirits and seasonal specials.

For a larger gathering or event, a private function space accommodating upwards of 100 guests is also an option.
The suburb of Brabham is located a little more than 20km from Perth’s CBD, nestled between Henley Brook and Whiteman Park.
On Friday, the venue invited Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti MLA for an early pint and to cut the ribbon ahead of its welcome to the public.
Keen to win-over locals in its first weekend of operations, the new neighbourhood pub will host a a series of celebratory events and giveaways from Friday July 31 to Sunday August 2.

A jam-packed schedule will feature live music, a meat raffle, kids activities, and even an appearance from retired Eagle Nic Naitanui.
A weekly program of specials and offers can also be found at the Brabham Hotel beyond its first week.
