Dunsborough’s Yarri Restaurant + Bar will become the latest venue to enjoy a temporary residence at Crown Perth this year, with the seasonal flavours of the South West to be unveiled later this month at the space formerly home to Bistro Guillaume.
Following six-week stints by Australian chef David Thompson’s Thai pop-up Fireback, and the incumbent Greek by George Calombaris, executive chef Aaron Carr will lead Yarri in Perth from July 29 to September 5.
Showcasing premium, ethically sourced Western Australian ingredients, the acclaimed regional restaurant — which has been named in several top 100 lists nationwide — will offer three or six-course menus framed as a modern Australian dining experience.
Expect the kingfish, rich lamb, and vibrant vegetable plates to be crowd-pleasers.
Crowned Western Australian Chef of the Year 2015, Carr has worked with some of the world’s leading culinary figures in Massimo Bottura and Matt Orlando, incorporating global techniques locally.

Shortening the journey to his table for Perth diners who have previously made the trip, Carr is also keen to spotlight the South West as a regional food destination to those less familiar.
“For many of our guests, Yarri has long been a destination worth travelling for — so to now have that same quality and sense of place available here in Perth is a fantastic outcome,” he said.
“It gives our guests access to an exceptional regional offering, without the need to travel south, and further strengthens Crown as a dining destination.”

Recognised by Crown Perth CEO Brian Pereira as one of WA’s most celebrated dining experiences, Yarri will be open locally for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with bookings essential.

Yarri will open at Crown Perth from July 29 to September 5.
