Establishing a strong connection between all members of the household will be an easy task with the warm and functional design of the Edgewood by Summit Homes.

Adorned with natural and earthy tones, a country charm is established through a mere glance at the home’s facade, featuring a traditional Australian-style verandah and feature cladding.

Summit Homes New Homes Design Manager Peter Wilkinson said Edgewood could best be described as modern, subdued and rustic.

“Designed for a 15m-wide block, this rustic enthused home is thoughtfully designed to create defined spaces for living, entertaining and relaxation,” he said. “For those who have a love and appreciation for contemporary country styles, the Edgewood is the home for you.”

Stepping through the wide 1200mm front door, you will marvel at the high 33c ceilings – another feature nodding to high-end living.

This sense of space is amplified in other areas of the home, with the theatre, living and dining area boasting recessed ceilings.

It is the commodious nature of these zones, and the alfresco, which makes this design perfect for families who love to entertain, according to Mr Wilkinson.

“The gourmet kitchen is geared towards socialising, with metres of bench space, a built-in oven and cooktop, and a large island bench ideally located overlooking the main living and dining zones,” he said.

“The dedicated scullery with direct laundry access has plenty of storage with a generous meal prep area.

“When entertaining, clean up can be done away from the dining and living – more than practical in its usability for modern families.”

During those sunny days, the kitchen will bask in natural light, thanks to the glass splashback and the plethora of windows and doors in the open-plan living area.

Accessible via sliding doors in the kitchen and living area, the undercover paved alfresco is an ideal spot for the adults to relax and catch up, while the grassed area is perfect for the children to play on.

Each enjoying their own areas of the home, the minor bedrooms and master suite are separated by a corridor and positioned just far away enough from each other, yet close enough to provide peace of mind for families with young children.

The children can also play in their dedicated wing, while the parents relax in their own luxurious zone.

“The indulgent master suite is a showstopper, featuring high 31c ceilings, a huge walk-in robe and a stylish ensuite with double vanities and a large shower to create a true retreat,” Mr Wilkinson said.

“In the children’s zone, three generous-sized bedrooms and a separate bathroom surround a central games room and IT nook.”

The Edgewood is located in Bushmead and is open for viewing on Wednesdays from 2-5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5pm.
