More than 300 West Aussie health professionals gathered at the Crown Ballroom to celebrate the winners of this year’s WA Rural Health Excellence Awards.

On March 14, 33 finalists from across the state nervously waited to hear if they’d won an award in each of the 11 categories. The awards were presented by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service.

Clinical Leader of the Year: Kim Tracey

Community Health Professional of the Year: Sarah Youngson

GP of the Year: Richard Taylor

Health Team of the Year: WACHS Older Person Complex Care Team

Nurse and Midwife of the Year: Jane Darlington

Specialist of the Year (non-GP): Jacinta Cover

Young Professional of the Year: Rosalie Gent

WA Country Health Service Intern of the Year: Celia Wong

WA Country Health Service RMO of the Year: Catherine Daly

Chair’s Award: WACHS Older Person Complex Care Team
