More than 30 riders saddled up their horses to take part in the Albany Horseworld Eventing Grand Prix, a combined showjumping and cross-country event held at the Albany Equestrian Centre on Sunday.

Amber Patupis-Retsas on Touchstone Felix, the sole competitor in the class 1 105cm division, produced an impressive second round on her way to victory after not finishing the first round.

Rebecca Gordon riding Parkiarrup Wrestful won the class 2 95cm open with only 6.8 penaltiesm defeating Sharney Venrooy on Taluha while Dawn Nation was third aboard Ravel.

Nation was able to secure victory on Motown in the class 3 80cm open division, narrowly defeating Janelle Richardson on Sherman while Ester Harris filled third on DVZ Fleming.

Young competitor Ashley Podolski won the class 4 80cm junior category with -1.6 penalties riding Dakota, defeating Caitlin Prichard on Baylaurel SB Cruz and Shantelle McMahon on Japanoz Warning Signal.

Sian Nichols was the sole competitor in class 5 65cm open on Riva, winning with 43.6 penalties.

Hannah Steinhoff aboard Willowie Wild Childwas able to win the class 6 65cm junior division from a strong field of riders on -6.4 penalties.

Second was Shahna Davis on Mystic Shadows Black Ice and McMahon filled third on Bundy.

Becky Stride riding Its Magical, was able to get the better of Ellysha Hale on Peacemaker and Alice Ross on King to win the class 7 45cm open division.

Holly Radys aboard Woodridge Moojie was able to defeat 11 rivals to take out the class 8 45cm junior division.
