Albany police are cracking down on reckless riding behaviour and seized an off-road motorcycle and a modified e-bike during a recent operation near North Road.

Police received multiple reports of reckless riding between September 17-19 on North Road and surrounding streets.

As part of ongoing efforts to address the dangerous behaviour in the community, officers conducted a coordinated operation on Saturday, resulting in the seizure of the vehicles involved.

Two juveniles are assisting police with their inquiries.

Police said they are taking a zero tolerance approach to reckless behaviour on the roads and will take decisive enforcement action against riders who put others at risk.

This could include charging offenders and impounding vehicles when appropriate.

Police say they will continue to maintain an active presence in areas where reports of dangerous riding and unlawful motorcycle or e-bike use were received as part of their efforts to address dangerous riding behaviour in the community.
