Narrikup 7 extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games after a spirited 20-goal victory over third-placed Narrikup 8 in the Albany Netball Association B1 competition on Saturday.

Narrikup 8 came out with a point to prove in the first quarter, sticking with their opponents for most of the quarter to be within four goals at the quarter-time buzzer.

However, the second term was dominated by Narrikup 7 from defence through to attack.

The chemistry between centre Winter Proudfoot and goal shooter Alice Jones created shot after shot, Proudfoot’s precision passing a highlight throughout the game.

Going into the third quarter down by nine, Narrikup 8 gave it their all with their defence working tirelessly.

Captain Candace Laurent and goalkeeper Amanda Bunker made life hard for Narrikup 7 shooters but the supply was overwhelming with Narrikup 7 increasing their lead to 12.

Narrikup 7 ran away with a comfortable 46-26 win to maintain their unbeaten season thus far, with Proudfoot producing a stand-out game at centre all day.

In the other B1 fixture, Griffins 5 notched their eighth win of the season against the Royals Saints 5 with a dominant 30-goal win.

Royals Saints lamented a slow first half as Griffins led at every change in the 50-20 triumph.
