Anthony Albanese gifted Donald Trump’s wife Melania a $3000 pearl pendant during his whirlwind visit to the United States, new documents have revealed.
Documents obtained under a Freedom of Information request reveal Mr Albanese gave the First Lady a Bianca Pearl Pendant valued at $2980 during his October 2025 visit to Washington.

A 24 inch Virginia Class Submarine Model gifted to Mr Trump is also listed.
The model, provided in kind by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Training, was mounted with gold stand-offs, however was valued at $0.
In return, Mr Albanese received a “desk set with stationery” valued at $923, but was purchased for $190.30.
The set was surrendered by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet for display in the Commonwealth or parliamentary offices.
Alternatively, the item could have been donated to national collections, including museums and libraries, or to charity.
Under Australian law, parliamentarians are required to declare gifts exceeding $750 in value.
In a 2025 interview, Mr Albanese admitted to having given a world leader something “bought for sort of $10 at the school fete”.
