Ructions which caused a stir in the committee which oversees the popular Margaret River Farmers’ Market appear to have settled down, with members going to ground on the final fallout.

While no longer in the running for the Margaret River Regional Producers’ Association board himself, Koonac Goat Farm owner and former chairman Andreas Frutiger said the final committee make-up was resolved in early April.

“The committee had organised a new election for four members, with a nomination period from February 15 to March 11,” he told the Times.

“They received three nominations, therefore no postal voting was required.

“The last ‘casual’ vacancy was closed by a second call for nomination from March 23 to April 6.”

James Taylor retained the chairman’s role and did not respond to Times’ inquiries.
