Hero of the Bondi Beach terror attack, Ahmed Al Ahmed, who wrested a gun from a man as a shooting was underway, has shared an inspiring message with Australia and the world, saying “enough is enough” and it is time to “save life”.

Mr Ahmeed was in his hospital bed when popular online personality Zachery Dereniowski visited to deliver him a cheque for over $2.5 million after the world rallied and donated to the hero who saved lives.

“I deserve it?,” Mr Ahmeed asked as he was handed a cheque for the funds raised so far.

“Thank you very much,” he added emotionally.

Mr Ahmed was asked what his message for the world was as he recovers from injuries he sustained on Sunday.

“Stand with each other, all human beings,” Mr Ahmed said.

“Forget everything bad, put everything back (in the past) and keep going (forward) to save life.

“When I do, save the people, I do it from the heart.

“Because it was a nice day, everyone enjoying celebrating with their kids, woman, man, teenager.

“All this, everyone was happy.

“They deserve to enjoy. It’s their right.”

Mr Ahmed, who moved to Australia from Syria in 2006, said Australia is the best country in the world, but called on everyone to say enough is enough.

“This country, the best country in the world. The best country in the world,” he repeated with pride.

“But, were not going to stand and keep watching. Enough is enough.

“God protect Australia. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.”

The GoFundMe for Mr Ahmed had raised $2,565,416 at the time of writing.

In a social media post shared by GoFundMe, Youtuber Dereniowski wrote: “Ahmed, the world loved you.”

“Wow amazing. He risked his life , bless him , brave man,” wrote another person.

“This Muslim man’s heroic actions not only saved lives, but also shattered stereotypes 👏 Thank you Ahmed ❤️,” wrote another.

Following the attack, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese celebrated Mr Ahmed’s actions.

“Ahmed al-Ahmed represents the best of our country,” he said.

“At a moment where we have seen evil perpetrated, he shines out as an example of the strength of humanity.”
