Clinton James Turner: Police charge man, 47, with manslaughter over woman’s death in Banksia Grove

A man has faced court over the death of a woman known to him in Perth’s northern suburbs. Homicide Squad detectives allege 47-year-old Clinton James Turner killed a 42-year-old woman after she was found unresponsive inside a Mayala Bend home, in Banksia Grove, on Thursday morning. Mr Turner faced Northbridge Magistrates Court on Saturday after he was charged with manslaughter. No details of his alleged offending were read to the court and no application for bail was made. Court records state the alleged offence — unlawfully killed another under such circumstances as not to constitute murder — occurred between Wednesday and Thursday. Two women believed to know Mr Turner were present during Saturday’s court hearing. They declined to speak with reporters. Mr Turner will next face court on April 29. St John WA paramedics and police were called to the Banksia Grove property about 9am by someone inside the home. Despite the efforts of first responders, the woman couldn’t be saved.
