Boy charged after Sydney school stabbing

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after the stabbing of a teenager at a western Sydney high school.

Emergency services were called to Glenwood High School in Glenwood about 1pm on Thursday.

Police found a 16-year-old boy with two "significant" stab wounds to his stomach.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Children's Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 14-year-old was charged with two counts of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will appear before a Children's Court on Friday.
