Police are investigating after a guitar worth more than $6,000 was stolen from a Perth music story yesterday.

The Gretsch White Falcon guitar was taken from Kosmic Sound in Osborne Park.

A WA Police spokeswoman confirmed the matter had been reported and was under investigation.

The store has also taken to social media to appeal for information.

It posted a picture on Facebook of a man walking out of the store with a guitar case and a picture of a Gretsch White Falcon guitar.

“If he looks familiar to you (he was driving a white/silver Hyundai Excel), or you see the guitar doing the rounds, can you please give us a shout,” the store posted.

“We know it’s tough out there for all our muso mates who might not have the coin for a great new guitar but this sucks a bit for us so any help would be awesome.”

Music legends Roy Orbison and Neil Young famously played White Falcons.
