The Arson Squad has been called in after fire destroyed a home in Midland, causing more than $300,000 in damage.

Luckily, the owners weren’t home at the time.

Police say the fire started at the Charles Street townhouse at about 3.20am this morning.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area prior to the incident.

The damage has been estimated at more than $300,000.
