CCTV footage has captured the shocking moment a train slammed into a truck after it rolled onto the tracks despite boom gates being closed and warning bells sounding.
Eyewitnesses say just before 4pm a tipper truck with two trailers was travelling east along Great Eastern Highway in Guildford when it turned left at the Meadow Street traffic lights and rolled onto the tracks.

The train — which was full of passengers — did not have time to stop, hitting the truck at full speed and shattering the front window of the train.
The train driver and a trainee who was shadowing him both escaped with minor injuries.
The truck’s trailers were ripped from the truck and a bobcat — which was in the second trailer — was thrown on to the tracks upon impact.

A mother who was driving two toddlers behind the crash was left shaken after part of the truck landed on her car.
“The wheels came flying through the air and landed on the bonnet of our car, it’s been a bit wild actually” Emma Robson said.
Four other people were injured, with one woman and two teenagers taken to Midland Hospital and another woman taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
The Public Transport Authority said train passengers were safely removed from the carriages.
