Two people were forced to flee a fire that destroyed a house in suburban Perth early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the house on Flamborough Street in Doubleview at 4.35am to find its entire front completely alight.

It took firefighters 50 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

Both people inside the house escaped safely and 7NEWS Perth is reporting a man was seen running from the property shortly after the fire broke out.

Department of Fire and Emergency Service officers are investigating the cause of the blaze and the WA Police arson squad has also been informed.
