Mumballup crash: Woman airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital by RAC chopper after serious South West collision

A young woman has been airlifted to a Perth hospital after a horrific crash in the South West. The accident happened along Collie-Preston Road, near Best Road, in Mumballup, about 221 kilometres south of Perth on Saturday. It is understood a 19-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after two cars collided along the remote stretch of road at 5.20pm. The RAC Rescue helicopter airlifted the woman to Royal Perth Hospital. A WA Police spokesman said the Major Crash squad has been deployed to the scene to investigate what led to the collision.
