Police are appealing for footage of a dirt bike race in Brisbane's north after a teenager crashed and died.

The 16-year-old boy was racing at a track on Raubers Road in Banyo when his bike hit a fence about 1:45pm on Monday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for spectators who were filming the event to contact them.
