Gnowangerup displayed their dominance in the Ongerup Football Association with a commanding 73-point victory against Newdegate in the top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.

The Bulldogs sat four wins clear of the Lions heading into their round 13 clash and proved far too strong for their opponents in their bid to secure back-to-back premierships.

Star recruit Lewis Davis dominated in the 13.10 (88) to 2.3 (15) victory with eight goals as his side adjusted to life without star forward Timm House.

The Bulldogs booted five goals to one in the first term to lead by 26 points before extending their advantage to 39 at the main break after two unanswered goals in the second term.

A dominant six-goal to nil third stanza put the game beyond doubt as the Bulldogs skipped 77 points clear by the last change.

The Lions kicked the only goal of the last term but it wasn’t enough as they fell to their second straight defeat.

Davis couldn’t be stopped up forward while Fraser House, Tom Stewart and Scott Anderson were all vital contributors in the Bulldogs 11th straight win this season.

Kim Newman kicked both of the Lions goals while Dean Rintoul and youngster Nelson Kent continued their superb seasons and Riley Bridger was also gallant in defeat.

Lake Grace-Pingrup remain a hope of securing a finals double chance after finishing 11-point winners over Jerramungup at Lake Grace.

The Bombers moved within a game of the Lions in second spot with two rounds remaining.

After only leading by two points at the main break the Bombers booted eight goals to six in the second half to win 15.7 (97) to 11.20 (86).

The Bombers kicked six goals in the first term to lead by 20 points before the Eagles hit back with three goals to one in the second term.

Seven goals to two in the third stanza helped the Bombers open up a handy 30-point advantage at the last change and despite the Eagles booting four goals in the last term they fell short.

Former AFL player Mitch Morton kicked four goals in the win while Karl Fleay added three.

Tyson Prater, Joshua Bellve and Will Cook were among the Bombers best players.

Michael Lester slotted four goals for the Eagles and was joined in the best by Brendan Lee (three goals) and Dean Hislop.
