Australind police are warning residents to be vigilant after a string of burglary, theft and trespassing occurred in the area.

At least 10 properties were targeted during the crime spree that took place within a five hour period from about 10pm Wednesday until about 4am Thursday within the Leschenault area.

Officer in charge Sgt Mike Bickford said it appeared to be the same people with all the offences being linked, given the nature of how they occurred.

“We are reminding people to do their best to remain vigilant of their surroundings and make sure people lock up their houses and cars,” he said.

“It is a remote area so they will know who is usually around, so the best thing they can do is report suspicious activity.

“Especially if they have had something happen that they didn’t think was worth reporting because it may be the piece of the puzzle that we are looking for.”

Australind police have urged people in the area to provide any information such as CCTV footage to them and report any suspicious activity.
