State political leaders of the Goldfields region have “put politics aside” to join forces and support the community through the coronavirus pandemic.

Labor Member for Mining and Pastoral Region Kyle McGinn, One Nation Member for Mining and Pastoral Robin Scott and Liberal Member for Kalgoorlie Kyran O’Donnell, have united to ensure the people of the Goldfields are kept informed during the crisis.

Each member’s electorate office is working together to call community members over the age of 65 to ensure they are OK, making sure the Foodbank is well stocked, supporting small businesses and posting out information to people unable to access it online.

A joint statement from the trio says the sharing of vital information is the top priority.

“We believe that we will be stronger together and during this worldwide crisis, we need to support the people in our communities first and foremost,” it reads.
