Kalgoorlie-Boulder families turn out in droves to help plant seedlings on the roadside

Almost 200 locals of all ages got their hands dirty in the name of conservation during Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s annual tree planting at the weekend.Following the cancellation of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day due to the COVID-19 crisis, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder stepped in to co-host the event with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Urban Landcare Group.KBULG chief executive Kim Eckert said the addition of 5000 seedlings will help transform the vacant area along Gatacre Drive into a thriving landscape.
