Residents living in regional Western Australia have been urged to check their lottery tickets, as the hunt continues for a trio yet to redeem their mammoth prizes.

Three individuals across WA’s southern half are now officially millionaires after scoring massive division one jackpots during the past week.

A pair of punters in the South West ended the weekend $2.2 million richer after nabbing a slice of the Saturday Lotto’s division one prize.

The lucky weekend punters purchased their winning tickets at West Busselton News and Post, as well as Eaton Fair Lottery Centre and Newsagency.

David Rodgers is the long-time owner of the Eaton Fair newsagency and he revealed his staff were ecstatic to learn they played a role in the life-changing win.

“They put a lot of effort into making sure ticket sales run smoothly and to think someone out there has won more than $2 million — that’s life-changing,” the owner said.

It’s not just those in the South West that should be scrambling to check their tickets, however, with a lucky Albany local winning the only division one prize in the State during Monday’s Millionaire Medley.

The Great Southern punter, who nabbed their ticket at Clark’s Newsagency, is officially a millionaire after scoring a cushy $1 million windfall.

The York Street retailer took to social media on Monday night to urge their customers to check their tickets in case they were the lucky winner.

“Woo hoo — congratulations to the winner,” the Albany store said.

Lotterywest spokesperson Nikki Wilson-Smith said it was an exciting time for regional WA, with back-to-back wins outside the metropolitan area being a rare occurrence.

“We don’t see this very often — the last time three Division One winners were sold in regional outlets in such a short period was a year ago,” she said.

“These wins show that big prizes can land anywhere in Western Australia, whether it’s a major regional centre or a town in the South West.

“We are hoping the winners check their tickets soon!”

The lucky winning numbers for the Saturday draw were 40, 27, 17, 43, 5, and 38. The supplementary numbers were 2 and 39.

On Monday’s Millionaire Medley, the winning numbers were 11, 2, 15, 29, 22, and 29. The supplementary numbers were 28 and 41.
