
Emergency services will resume their search for a missing swimmer off Trigg Beach after a person was reported in distress on Tuesday afternoon.
The search will continue at first light on Wednesday after WA Police were advised about 5.15pm on Tuesday that someone was in distress.
Water police officers, with the assistance of Police Air Wing, Marine Rescue WA and Surf Life Saving, conducted a search of the area.
Search boats were seen sticking close together while patrolling the water, about 100m from the sand.
However, no one was found.
Anyone with any information relating to a swimmer in distress, or who is a friend or family member of someone who has not returned from a visit to the beach at Trigg, is urged to contact police on 131 444.
