Man to be sentenced in District Court after guilty plea to possessing child exploitation material in Wagin

A 38-year-old man has admitted to possessing child exploitation material in his latest court appearance. Robert Allan Thompson appeared in Narrogin Magistrates Court on December 2 charged with possession of child exploitation material. He pleaded guilty to the single charge that occurred in Wagin on August 12. His defence lawyer Larina Piesse requested both pre-sentence and psychological reports to be generated before his next appearance. Magistrate Erin O’Donnell extended Thompson’s bail. Thompson will next appear in Albany District Court on April 1 for sentencing.
