Wickepin Primary School opened their doors to students’ mothers and grandmothers on May 7 to celebrate Mother’s Day with a morning of activities.
School principal Joanna Hayes said the celebration was a “truly wonderful morning”, enjoyed by students, families and staff alike.
Families were welcomed into the school from 9am to share in what Ms Hayes said was a “relaxed and joyful start to the day”.
Primary school students participated in a range of activities alongside their mothers and grandmothers, including a special photo booth, a mini nail salon, a reading nook and puzzles and games.

Students and their families could also take part in creative activities such as face painting, biscuit decorating, bracelet making, making wind chimes, and arranging flower bouquets.
Early childhood students stepped into the spotlight to entertain everyone in attendance with a singing performance.
“The morning provided a warm opportunity to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives and to strengthen the strong sense of community we value so highly,” Ms Hayes said.
“This wonderful event was made possible through the outstanding teamwork and dedication of our staff, whose efforts ensured such a memorable and successful occasion.”
