A crash blocked a lane on a major road in Perth’s north, causing heavy congestion as commuters head home on Monday afternoon.

The crash was located on Wanneroo Road northbound at Amberley Way in Balcatta, and was reported by Main Roads at 4.24pm.

The right lane was completely blocked by the crash, and was closed by Incident Response.

Police, ambulances, and towing services were pictured on the scene.

The crash has since been cleared, but traffic remains slow on approach.
