A rollover reduced Tonkin Highway to a single lane, causing traffic headaches for commuters heading home for the weekend.

The incident was located on the Highway northbound at Abernethy Road in Kewdale.

The involved vehicles blocked several lanes, leaving just one lane open for vehicles to pass.

The incident has since been cleared, but traffic remains heavy on approach.

Main Roads has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution if travelling in the area.

Further north, a crash on Mitchell Freeway northbound blocked a lane.

The incident wass located before Neerabup Road in Tamala Park.

The right lane was blocked by the crash, causing heavy traffic on approach to the scene.

Another crash also blocked the left lane of Kwinana Freeway northbound at South Street in Bateman.

Debris was scattered across the Freeway, and Main Roads has advised drivers to proceed with caution.

Both crashes have since been cleared.
