Transperth: Trains back on schedule after technical issue caused morning delays for Ellenbrook Line commuters

Morning commuters faced delays on Thursday after a technical issue impacted a Perth train line.
A train had broken down on the Ellenbrook line in Perth’s east ahead of the peak hour rush, with passengers forced to wait for replacements.
A Public Transport Authority spokesperson confirmed the delays were caused by an A-series railcar that experienced technical faults.
“The train has since been taken back to the siding at Bayswater Station and services are returning to the normal timetable,” the spokesperson said.
“Transperth apologises for any inconvenience caused to passengers by the delay.”
Trains on the impacted line are once again running, but Transperth has urged travellers to consider allowing extra commuting time.
