Mosman Park deaths: Family, including two children, dead in suspected double murder suicide at Mott Close

A family of four, including two children, have been found dead in a suspected double murder suicide at a home in Mosman Park.
Police are investigating the horrific incident, at Mott Close, in Perth’s western suburbs, which involves the deaths of a mother, father, their two teenage sons and their pets.
The bodies of the 50-year-old father, a 49-year-old mother and their two boys —aged 14 and 16 — were discovered, with a note which was left at the home. Two dogs and a cat were also found dead at the property.
Detective Inspector Jessica Securo described the incident as a “devastating tragedy”. “What I can advise is that there was no weapon used during this incident, and the family have no reported family violence matters with police,” she said.

She said there were no signs of violence at the home and police were investigating whether the children were killed before the parents took their own lives. “We will look at this holistically to see what led to this incident and go from there,” she said.

Det. Insp. Securo said the family was not known to police and had been working with care services before the incident.
People are being urged to stay away from the area, which is surrounded by emergency crews, but WA Police say there are no ongoing public safety concerns.
St Johns WA has confirmed five ambulance crews were called to the scene at 8.29am.
