Perfect Christmas weather predicted for the South West

The South West is in for a perfect Christmas Day this year with temperatures set to peak in the mid-20s to low 30s.

The Bureau of Meteorology released the first predicted forecast for Christmas Day on Tuesday afternoon.

Bunbury is expected to reach a sunny 27 degrees, while further south it will be 23 and partly cloudy in Augusta.

Inland, temperatures are predicted to be in the low 30s.

It is much the same story up the coast, where Mandurah can expect a sunny 28 degree day, and Rockingham can expect 30 degrees.

Busselton: 28, mostly sunny.

Margaret River: 26, mostly sunny.

Augusta: 23, partly cloudy.

Manjimup: 30, mostly sunny.

Collie: 33, mostly sunny.

Harvey: 31, mostly sunny.


Rockingham: 30, mostly sunny.

Mandurah: 28, mostly sunny.

Serpentine: 34, sunny.

Waroona: 34, sunny.
