Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s court testimony against man who allegedly threatened him delayed to December

Disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has had his court testimony against a man who allegedly threatened him delayed until December.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was set to appear via video link on July 29 UK time to give evidence against 39-year-old Alex Jenkinson, who allegedly threatened King Charles’ brother earlier this year near his Sandringham estate home.

Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring has now set the date for December 21 because of concerns about the accused man’s mental health, according to HELLO.

Jenkinson reportedly threatened Mr Windsor-Mountbatten in May as he was walking the dogs of his late mother, People reports.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, took corgis Muick and Sandy following Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022.

Jenkinson reportedly used “threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause that person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him”, People said, citing court documents.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has faced a string of legal and family issues in recent years.

In 2022, he had his military titles and patronages stripped over a lawsuit filed against him by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.

In 2025, Mr Windsor-Mountbatten lost his titles of Prince Andrew and the Duke of York as well as his royal lodging due to tensions over his links to Mr Epstein.

While he has remained largely out of the public eye since having his titles revoked, his family have been met with protests over him.

In March, Prince William and Princess Kate were met by anti-monarchy group Republic, who held up signs that read ‘What are your hiding’ and ‘Not My King’, according to People.
