An Adelaide man has been accused of stalking women whom he mostly met through online dating and marketplace sites.

An extensive police investigation led to the arrest of Sean Ian Bruce Flintoff, 35, of Andrews Farm in Adelaide’s north.

He was charged with 21 offences, including 16 counts of stalking against 16 different women, on Thursday.

According to SA Police, the offences happened over an eight-year period between 2013 and 2021 at various locations across metropolitan Adelaide.

The main targets were women aged in their 30s.

It is also alleged that Flintoff approached the majority of the women online through dating apps and websites as well as on prominent marketplace sites where he’d send random social media requests to make contact.

Mr Flintoff appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court via video link on Friday where he did not apply for bail.

He is due to reappear in October.
