Queensland Police have arrested seven people following raids on massage parlours allegedly being run as illegal brothels.

Those arrested were aged between 31 and 62, with police also seizing over $17,000 cash across three businesses.

Police executed four search warrants as part of Operation Tango Convenience, which followed media reports suggesting there is widespread unregistered prostitution occurring in suburban Queensland.

Footage shows police entering a suburban massage parlour, questioning several women and handling large stacks of cash. Officers at one point also produce a pair of lace underwear from a bag of belongings.

Investigations are ongoing with the seven people arrested due to face Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 12.
