Beachgoers warned to look for sharks after dolphin carcass found at White Hills Beach in Mandurah
Beachgoers in Perth’s south are warned stay on the lookout for sharks after a dolphin carcass was found at White Hills Beach in the City of Mandurah.
The carcass was reported by a member of the public at 10.45am, 10km south of the the White Hills Beach entrance track.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development —which issued the warning — said it was possible the decomposing carcass would attract sharks close to shore and people should exercise caution until the carcass was removed.

Parks and Wildlife Service officers from the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions, as well as staff from the City of Mandurah, are working to remove the carcass.
People planning to go to the beach should check for shark activity the SharkSmart website, SharkSmart WA app or Surf Life Saving WA’s Twitter feed.
