Michael Lane’s four-year-old Black Ducati cruised to victory in this afternoon’s $25,000 Ronald McDonald House Charities WA Handicap (1400m) at the Bunbury Turf Club.

After starting well from the gates, rider Ben Parnham positioned the mare perfectly at the top of straight and then managed to wear down valiant runs from Swift Mirage and Speedy Miss in the closing stages.

Post-race, Boyanup-based trainer Lane was delighted with the result.

“It is good to be back at the home track and it is in great order,” Lane said.
