Bond boots eight in SWFL win
A Bethany Bond-inspired South West Football League women’s team have thumped the Peel Football-Netball League by 134 points at Bendigo Bank Stadium today.
Bond booted eight goals and ran rampant up forward in the 21.9 (135) to 0.1 (1) victory.
The forward combined with captain Trish Lake for 14 goals in a dominant display.

The South West dominated the first term, with Lake booting three of her six goals and Bond kicking two.
It was the visitors’ work out of the centre which impressed the most, as Larissa Versaci and Kristy Larsen dominated the middle of the ground.
Larsen was outstanding in the ruck, giving her midfielders first use of the ball throughout the game.
Aduk Gulak was great for Peel in defence and got some help in the second term when her team put an extra number behind the ball.
Bond made the game look easy when she booted her third goal early in the second term, showing great poise in a pack to kick the goal of the day.
She soon followed that up with four quick goals to have seven before half-time.
The South West started the second half as good as the first, with Larsen, Katie Grieve and Versaci providing Lake and Bond with plenty of opportunities to kick goals.

Brittany Gliddon was swung forward with great affect, while Larsen booted her second as the SWFL dominated.
The last term was much of the same.

Coach Teagan Smith cleared her bench, giving everyone a go.
Stephanie King made the most of her opportunities, kicking two goals, while Lake booted her sixth to complete a great game.
