Bulls continued their undefeated start to the Bunbury Basketball Association women’s competition with a 16-point win over Aces White at the South West Sports Centre on Friday night.

Despite missing key shooter Courtney Bayliss, the Bulls had an even spread of scorers to claim a 60-44 victory.

Shannon McRobert top scored for the game with 15 points, while Eleanor Hartill scored 14 points before being fouled out of the game.

Bulls led from early in the game and never looked to be troubled, despite centre Rebecca Preston being fouled out.

No player for Aces White scored more than 10 points, with Olivia Bassett-Scarfe and Sydney Lewis both leading their side with nine points.

Tornadoes Red are also still undefeated after beating the Busselton Bullets by 22 points earlier in the night.

Young South West Slammer Raya Thompson scored a game-high 23 points to lead Tornadoes Red to a 69-47 victory.

Beige Harris continued her strong start to the year for Busselton, scoring 21 points, but not one of her teammates scored more than 10 points.

Meanwhile Thompson had plenty of help with Dena English scoring 13 points, while Tayah Kemp and Georgia Emmett both chipped in with 12 points.

Aces Navy caused an upset in the men’s competition, defeating reigning champions Tornadoes Black by just three points.

Wade Hitchcock scored five three-pointers to top score with 25 points in the 79-76 victory.

Jason Smith (20 points) and Nathan Van Dijk (24 points) both performed admirably for Tornadoes Black, while Slammers tall Travis Durnin was excellent with 24 points, including nine from the charity stripe.

Travis Vogel and Sam Sopolinski both scored 22 points in Aces White’s 71-66 victory over Tornadoes Red.

The game went right down to the wire, with late shots from free-throw line by Aiden Musarri gave Aces White a great win.

Jordan Yarran and Jordan Sears both scored 12 points for Tornadoes Red in the loss.

Busselton got their second win of the season by defeating Bulls 82-77 to start the round.

Matt Mansfield was accurate from all parts of the court to score 23 points for the winners, while Dylan Ness was solid with 15 points. Tom Harper hit six three-pointers to finish with 22 points for the Bull.
