Two Bunbury men accused of committing a series of robberies in Perth have made their first appearances in court. Bryce Graham Heard, 24, and Robert David Whitbread, 39, appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on Monday via video link from Bunbury Regional Prison in relation to a series of charges stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred between October 15 and 18 last year. Mr Heard appeared charged with aggravated robbery, criminal damage by fire, 11 counts of stealing, three counts of trespassing, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle and an attempted stealing charge while Mr Whitbread appeared in relation to charges of aggravated robbery, three counts of stealing and one count of trespassing. It was alleged the pair committed a series of burglaries over the space of three days in October. Police say the incidents took place in Davenport, Roelands, South Perth, Butler, Alkimos, Jindalee, Joondalup and Madeley. Mr Heard’s charges were adjourned to April 4 for a committal mention hearing while Mr Whitbread’s matters were adjourned to February 7 to coincide with his other charges that include criminal damage by fire, multiple counts of stealing and charges of stealing a motor vehicle. Both were remanded in custody.
