Conference examines state of regions
The Committee for Economic Development of Australia launched its State of the Regions series this morning at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
More than a dozen high profile speakers are presenting at the event to discuss future economic development opportunities that will shape the region.
Regional Development Minister Terry Redman headlined the event, speaking of the importance regional WA has on the State’s economy.
Mr Redman said he wanted to make sure that regional WA thrived and was a part of the WA economy where people want to live and invest.
“It is fantastic to be here in Bunbury today and all congratulations to CEDA to have this program running through regional WA,” he said.
“It is identifying the State of the regions and highlighting the importance of regional WA.
“It is a chance for us to engage with the regional communities and make sure they are on the map.”
