Bunbury stamped themselves as a genuine premiership contender with an 88-point win over Carey Park at Kelly Park on Sunday.

The Panthers were never in the game and did not manage to score at all, going down 13.10 (88) to 0.0 (0).

Bunbury captain-coach Trish Lake starred for the visitors, booting seven goals from 10 scoring shots in an excellent display.

The Bulldogs jumped out of the blocks early, kicking six goals in the first term to set up the win.

Carey Park battled back in the second quarter to hold the Bulldogs to just two goals, but the flood gates began to open again in the third term as Bunbury stamped their dominance.

Sophie Fryer booted two goals for the Bulldogs in a good game for the forward, while Carly Allen was best on ground as the Bulldogs won their second game for the year.
