Import to return home

The Printsync South West Slammers and prospective American men’s import Drelan Tripplett have parted company.

In a written statement, Basketball South West chairman Rob Clement outlined the club would assess its options for the remainder of the season.

“While the Slammers had recently looked at recruiting a replacement import player for Brian Voelkel – who has had to cease his contract due to some injury concerns – it was unable to secure the appropriate clearances within a suitable time,” he said.

Tripplett, who flew in to WA from Dallas on Monday, will return to the US tonight.
