Bunbury’s hard-hitting boxer Nathaniel “Cheeky” May will fight Englishman Jazza Dickens for the IBF European Featherweight title on July 12 in Liverpool.

May, a product of the Denning Boxing and Fitness Gym who holds a 20-1 career record, will be determined to back up his classy victory over Rusland Berchuk last October in Belfast.

After being challenged early with a solid jab to the chin, May remained composed and won 79-73 on points in the eighth round.

In a bid to ensure he remains in tip-top shape ahead of the showdown, the ferocious yet humble talent has been training in Los Angeles under the watchful eye of legendary trainer Freddie Roach.

The bout, which is only May’s second outside of Australia, will be beamed across the world on cable television.
