The region’s best up and coming artists are set to take the main stage at Bunbury Regional Art Gallery when the annual Iluka Vision exhibition returns for 2022.

The exhibition kicks off on Sunday, September 18, celebrating the creativity of students across the South West and showcasing their talent and creativity while giving them a taste of the higher-level art industry.

Their work will be celebrated at an exclusive Brunch at BRAG event on Sunday, where this year’s winners will be announced.

The free event will run from 11am-2pm, with family friendly activities, live music and food trucks alongside the art on show.

The exhibition was first held at the gallery in 1991.

This year’s display features five unique exhibitions and City of Bunbury mayor Jaysen Miguel said the community would be “blown away” by the high calibre of talent.

“I’m always excited to see Iluka Visions return to Bunbury Regional Art Gallery as it’s a great opportunity to check out the impressive young artistic talent we have here in the South West,” he said.

“I encourage our community to support this exhibition and the students involved by heading along to BRAG.”

BRAG education officer Molly Werner said this year’s display featured a great variety of works.

“Through a variety of mediums, these young artists remind us of the important role that art education plays in the development of a holistic understanding of the world around us,” she said.

The exhibition will run until November 27, with guests able to vote on the Youth Advisory Council People’s Choice Award.

People interested in attending the Brunch at BRAG are required to register at via Eventbrite.
